Olympics-Canoeing-De Gennaro wins gold for Italy in kayak

PARIS - Italian Giovanni De Gennaro took gold in the Olympic men's kayak single final at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium on Thursday.

France's Titouan Castryck won the silver, with Pau Echaniz of Spain securing bronze.
