New Delhi (Amaravati Today) March 28, 2024 - During a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters, National Spokesperson Shri Shehzad Poonawalla launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, accusing them of engaging in scams, spreading falsehoods, and exerting undue pressure on the judiciary. Highlighting recent court proceedings and political maneuvers, Shri Poonawalla criticized these parties' approach towards the Indian judicial system and their conduct in financial matters.

Shri Poonawalla pointed out the AAP's denial of any financial irregularities, which was contradicted in court by admissions of a money trail during the Goa election campaign. The BJP spokesperson also spotlighted the Delhi High Court's findings of substantial evidence against the Congress, involving dubious transactions amounting to ₹520 crores, undermining the party's credibility.

Further emphasizing the hypocrisy of the AAP and Congress, Shri Poonawalla accused them of questioning the integrity of the judiciary when verdicts go against them, while also denigrating the nation's democratic pillars. He remarked on the AAP's transformation from a party promising transparency and integrity to one embroiled in financial scams and aligning with previously criticized political figures.

Shri Poonawalla also criticized the Congress for its alleged manipulation of public perception and for attacking various facets of Indian society, including the judiciary and democratic institutions. He accused both parties of following a modus operandi aimed at looting, lying, playing the victim, and pressuring institutions to cover their tracks.

In conclusion, the press conference underscored the BJP's stance on the alleged corrupt practices and ideological shifts of the AAP and Congress, presenting a picture of two parties straying from their original principles and engaging in practices detrimental to the principles of democracy and justice.
